ADDICTIVE!

I'd say this is one of the top tier games I've played on Newgrounds.

The gameplay is wonderfully intricate and addictive, and the atmosphere is superb. I AM speeding down a highway littered with zombies, smoking debris, dead bodies, and chaos. Fabulous chaos.

The only complaints I could make would be nitpicks. Such as different variety of character models, maybe having the military trying to dodge your car when you try to ram them over, etc. but overrall, a solid 10/10 game. Finally, someone does the zombie genre justice.

Hmmm...

A mish mash of Alien, Dead Space and Event Horizon.

Hardly original but the graphic style was entertaining. One thing though, the bosses were easier than the regular enemies.

Yes.

You had me at car jumping.

Greatness...

But level 6 is just flat out impossible. Waiting for your upgrades to arrive while having to fend off hordes of running zombies with weaker units.

Great!

This is a refreshing change of pace from the majority of shooters on the site. What I'm giving the game a Nine for is the amount of attention that went towards the realism of the game. The cross hairs are particularly noteworthy of praise, as they merit it a challenge towards lining up your sight and taking out the enemy. The weapon upgrades as well are interesting.

But there is a lot of potential here for a better game. More variety with missions, different points of view, etc. The game does get boring quite quickly, which is a shame.

Overall, I am looking forward to a sequel.

Interesting...

But a bit sappy.

Yeeeaaah.....

I was having fun, but it needs a pause button. Right as I was in the middle of a record high score, my mom asked me to pass her the phone. I was forced to leave my computer to do this, and in my haste to achieve this before I lost the game, I dropped the phone, breaking it.

So you owe me a new house phone.

:P

Or maybe you need a new brain for thinking a game was more important than a phone. :P

Great job.

Good adaption of Stephen King's 'The Mist', I especially liked the little homage at the end to the very last line of the book. Also, I noticed a little visual reference to 'Pet Sematary' with their daughter's death (running in front of the truck). Good to know there are King fans out there making flash material.

Interesting tie ins to the Book of Revelations too. I also loved how the thing ended on a rather sad note and how SPOILER: Everyone dies. Rick's death was especially disturbing.

Overall, some nitpicking to be done in terms of that strange forest, although it almost seemed to represent a peaceful and idyllic Eden as opposed to the hell occurring around them. A sort of escape from the horror, while also offering solutions and answers in the form of skeleton keys and other clues.

Great artwork as well. Some of the voice acting and scripting was a little Cheese at times, but solid job overall.

8/10

Great game but...

Why did death have to elaborate so many times? If it could levitate the gun, why not just shoot the guy in the head the first time? Why stick a knife in the chef's neck and THEN stick him in the oven? Why bag hm over the head with pans?

Basically, if a sequel were to be made, it would be better if more subtle uses were made of the environment to kill people. I don't want it to be as easy as picking up a knife and stabbing someone. What the game did well were the things that could pass for 'accidents' in real life, like the chef getting his hand stuck in the blender, the motor turning on in the lake, the water leaking down in the room with the lamp, etc.

But other than that, it was definitely an entertaining game. The music was especially great, and the whole grainy video effect really lended itself well to the atmosphere. Good job.

Not bad.

But some things I don't quite understand.

Why go to the trouble of turning off lights to trick people, opening and closing doors, electrocuting them, when all the creature has to do is use it's telekinesis to lift up a gun or knife and kill them outright?

Seeing as it can levitate almost anything, why doesn't t just lift people up and throw them into the ground to kill them. I understand that maybe it enjoys drawing out their deaths, but it just becomes unnecessary. It was much more interesting at the start where you tinkle with a light bulb so it falls out and hits them on the head. Little minor things that could happen in real life.

Plus, the idea of a window being able to behead someone is just absurd.
